Quick help
Short setup notes for connecting official RustDesk clients to this server.
Find the server public key
The public key lets official clients verify your RustDesk server identity. In Arcane, open the project’s persistent data mount and copy id_ed25519.pub. Never share id_ed25519; that is the private key.
Locate the persistent RustDesk ID/relay data volume on your Docker host.
Configure a RustDesk client
Open Settings → Network → ID/Relay server.
Set ID server to your-rustdesk-server.example.com; relay to your-rustdesk-server.example.com:21117.
Set API server to https://your-api.example.com and paste the public key.
Open Account and choose Continue with Authentik. New computers need admin approval before users can see them.
Networking and sign-in
Public server firewall: TCP 21115, TCP and UDP 21116, and TCP 21117.
Keep your-rustdesk-server.example.com DNS-only in Cloudflare; native RustDesk traffic must reach the host directly.
The web admin and API use HTTPS through Traefik. Users need an Authentik account in the configured RustDesk group and admin approval.
Control appearance, refresh, retention, and event notifications.
Appearance
Choose the theme for this browser.
Automatic refresh
Refresh dashboard data while you work. Refresh pauses while you’re editing a row.
Data retention
Choose how long audit logs are kept. Cleanup runs daily, and a saved policy also cleans up immediately. Expired OIDC login records and revoked client tokens older than 90 days are removed automatically.
Current policy: 1 year
Gotify notifications
Gotify URL and app token are read from the Compose environment. Secrets are never shown or stored in the dashboard.
